LiquidPiston unveils its ultra efficient, small diesel engine
LiquidPiston is in the process of developing a diesel engine that is much more efficient, quieter, and smaller than conventional diesel engines. The engine, called the X2, will be available as a beta prototype for outside testing in the first quarter of 2013. The company, which has raised $12.3 million so far, based the X2 on a rotary engine, which can be much more efficient and flexible than traditional diesel engines.
