Doubling Down on Energy Efficiency: The New England Experience
The NAESCO Northeast Regional Market Workshop is a forum for public and private sector representatives to discuss the market impact of the enormous commitment to energy efficiency investment being made in the New England region. Regional and National Legislators, Policy Makers, and Regulators have identified investment in energy efficiency as one of the key ways to revitalize the regional economy and put the New England states on a path to sustainable prosperity. Through aggressive energy mandates and innovative delivery programs, the New England states have already started working toward a clean energy future that will create millions of jobs while cutting our imports of foreign oil. These mandates require state and local government buildings to cut their energy use drastically and these government entities are looking for cost effective ways to reduce their carbon footprint. The impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding in the region is just one significant part of the overall push to transform the region’s economy through clean energy technologies, practices, and programs. This workshop will focus on how the energy efficiency marketplace can leverage this confluence of unique opportunities by participating in a dialogue with the public sector concerning the value of ESCO delivered projects as the fastest, cleanest and cheapest way to reduce energy use.
Who Should Attend?
State and Local Government Energy and Facilities Managers, State and Local Government Contracting and Procurement Officers, State and Local Government Energy Program Managers and Policy Officials, ESCO Representatives, Utility Energy Efficiency Program Managers and Vendors active in the Energy Efficiency Marketplace, as well as representatives from NGOs and consulting groups focused on energy efficiency and distributed resource planning and implementation.
