EnerNOC Signs New Demand Response Contract With Puget Sound Energy
Company to Pilot New "Small Site" Demand Response Solution

BOSTON, Dec. 17, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EnerNOC, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENOC), a leading provider of clean and intelligent energy solutions, today announced that it has extended its contract to provide demand response capacity to Puget Sound Energy (PSE) through April 2011. Under the terms of the contract, EnerNOC, which first began providing demand response capacity to PSE under a pilot program for commercial customers in 2007, will continue operation and support of the program. In addition, EnerNOC plans to deploy new technology that will enable a select number of smaller commercial sites to participate, extending the financial and operational benefits of demand response to additional customers in PSE's service area.

"We're excited to be able to continue offering the benefits of demand response program participation to our commercial, institutional, and industrial customer base," said Cal Shirley, Vice President of Energy Efficiency Services for PSE. "EnerNOC's track record in delivering reliable load reductions has been impressive."

EnerNOC has worked in partnership with PSE to deliver demand response capacity to address both summer and winter peaks. Over the past two years, PSE has dispatched the EnerNOC demand response network more than ten times, and the resource has consistently delivered greater than 100 percent performance.

"PSE's continued investment in EnerNOC demand response is a testament to our ability to live up to our commitments and provide a reliable, cost-effective resource that meets the needs of utilities in the Pacific Northwest," said Tim Healy, Chairman and CEO of EnerNOC. "We're excited to continue this partnership, and we look forward to deploying our new 'small commercial' demand response solution with PSE in 2010. This application will build on EnerNOC's industry leadership and experience in enabling more than 700 grocery stores to participate in demand response programs across North America, allowing a much broader range of retail customers to benefit."

In exchange for enrolling in EnerNOC's demand response network, businesses and organizations throughout PSE's service area get paid for reducing non-essential electricity usage during times of peak demand. Leveraging its innovative technology and commercial applications, EnerNOC monitors each participating site's real-time performance and provides visibility into this data to both PSE and customers. In addition, each customer receives free basic access to PowerTrak(R), EnerNOC's web-based energy management software platform that can be used to identify additional energy savings opportunities.
