About the series:
Through generous support of the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, the Center for Business and the Environment at Yale will be hosting the 3rd annual “Carbon Finance Speaker Series” with a focus this year on investing in residential energy efficiency and clean energy as a strategy to provide solutions to climate change and economic development. We will be partnering with the F&ES and SOM Energy Clubs at Yale University. The speaker series will involve presentations by business leaders, practitioners, and academics that are advancing the science, policy, marketing and finance of residential energy efficiency and clean energy. There will be no less than 10 speakers in this series that will take place between November of 2009 through May of 2010.
The speaker series will be open to the public through online webcasts that can hold up to 1,000 calls. We are encouraging attendance by students, faculty, and staff across Yale University, as well as stakeholders and thought leaders engaged in addressing climate change mitigation and economic development through the role of energy usage in our homes and communities.
Each presentation will also be recorded and made available to the global community through Yale University iTunes online.
