About Jefferies CleanTech Practice
Jefferies’ CleanTech Investment Banking Practice is composed of a team of experienced senior bankers globally that focuseson the renewable energy and clean technology sectors. The North American team is led by Jeff Lipton, a Managing Director with over ten years of experience in the CleanTech, industrial and chemicals sectors. Jeff is joined by Adam Bergman, a Senior Vice President with over twelve years of corporate finance experience covering CleanTech, industrial and technology companies; Robert Jaworski, a Senior Vice President, who holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has over eight years of investment banking experience and an additional seven years of hands-on industry experience with alternative energy generation and storage technologies while working at Bellcore/Telcordia; Todd Coleman, a Senior Vice President, who has over thirteen years of experience working with technology, industrial and CleanTech companies; and Joanita Ricketts, a Vice President, who has over nine years of investment banking experience working with CleanTech and industrial companies. In Europe, the team is led by Bruce Huber, a Managing Director with over twenty-three years of experience working with technology companies, including solar, wind and other CleanTech companies; Martina Ecker, a Managing Director with over fifteen years working with CleanTech and industrial companies; and Alex Hofmann, a Director with over fourteen years of experience working with technology companies including solar and other CleanTech companies.
Since initiating the CleanTech practice at Jefferies in November 2003, the worldwide team has completed or announced over 39 deals worth more than $3.5 billion. Over the last four quarters, the team completed 14 deals, worth nearly $1.0 billion, including acting as sole bookrunner on a $54 million initial public offering for Westport Innovations, lead manager on a $30 million convertible notes offering for Dynamic Green Energy, co-manager on a $61.8 million follow-on for Ascent Solar, co-manager on a $98.6 million follow-on for EnerSys, sole placement agent on a $11 million convertible notes offering for EPV Solar, sole placement agent on a $100 million PIPE for Emcore, sole manager on a $20 million equity private placement for AGNI, co-manager on a $172 million convertible notes offering for Solarfun, sole bookrunner on a $50.0 million follow-on offering for
Penford, sole bookrunner on a $116 million follow-on offering for EnerSys, co-manager on a $107.0 million follow-on offering for EnerNoc, sole manager on a $30 million convertible notes offering for Indowind Energy Ltd., and sole placement agent on a $25.0 million equity private placement for Amonix.
