Position Description:

EnerNOC has an immediate need for an IT Application Developer. Primary responsibilities are to program the automation of financial transactions as well as other manual business processes. Financial transactions include revenue, payments, and commissions incurred for participating in various energy markets, and will entail integrating EnerNOC’s CRM, Financial, and Energy Management systems. Other manual business processes to automate include streamlining the facility deployment process, managing inventory control, improving tools to target sales opportunities, and developing applications for business continuity.

If so, this job is for you! Ideally, you are a self-starter that is able to adapt to different programming languages and business environments. You’ll thrive in understanding the energy markets in which EnerNOC operates and implementing a solution that is scalable and transparent. You’ll be successful if you can work just as well with an Engineering team that develops our Energy Management application, as with an Energy Markets team that manages assets in existing demand response programs and a Finance team that tracks and manages the financial performance of the company. The IT Application Developer will have a tangible impact on the efficiency of the entire company, and change the very way we use electricity while doing it.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build and maintain systems that calculate financials for all EnerNOC assets
- Integrate Salesforce.com, Epicor Finanicals, and PowerTrak Energy Management
- Automate generation of payment remittances to EnerNOC’s energy providers
- Develop business continuity applications for demand response protocols
- Maintain programs to reconcile data between disparate systems

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:

- BA/BS in computer science, information technology, or related field
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQLServer, Oracle or MySQL
- Strong knowledge of Java and Javascript
- Demonstrated knowledge of relational database design concepts
- Ability to understand and document business requirements
- Ability to work with business users and systems personnel in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications/Skills/Education:

- Knowledge of Crystal Reports, COGNOS, and/or FRx
- Experience with Salesforce APEX and S-Controls
- Masters in computer science or business administration
- Experience in and passion for the energy industry
- ITIL certification, COBIT, or other IT service delivery methodology experience
- Experience in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
