By Deborah Fleischer | February 1st, 2010
Triple Pundit

What do you think of when you hear Deloitte?

You might think of a professional services firm or Big Four auditor. Today, the company has also put a big green stake in the ground, both looking internally to green its operations and as an offering in its consulting practice.

Tax credits and incentives are important tools governments use to promote the development of renewable energy. As the energy industry adjusts to new regulations, what opportunities for renewable electricity and fuels projects will emerge? We'll discuss:

Strategies for maximizing incentive value under federal and state programs, including methods for identifying total available incentives and tax monetization techniques.
Evolution of tax equity markets and the implications for near- and long-term renewable investments.

Climate Change Presents Opportunities And Threats To Risk Intelligent Energy Companies

Deloitte & Touche LLP white paper provides guidance for managing climate change risks on an enterprise-wide basis

HOUSTON, TX, Oct. 8, 2007 – Mitigating risks associated with climate change has been heavily publicized in recent years, and it is incumbent upon every energy industry executive to address the challenges head on. Less appreciated, however, are the business opportunities presented by global warming, and only the savviest energy leaders will exploit these opportunities to realize an advantage for their companies, according to a new white paper from Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Energy Dependence on Unfriendly Sources and Lack of Realistic Energy Policy

HOUSTON, December 12, 2007 -- While consumers and energy industry executives do not often agree on the solutions needed to solve America’s energy challenges, a new survey commissioned by Deloitte found some surprising areas of agreement, said Gary Adams, Vice Chairman, U.S. Oil & Gas Leader, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP.

Deloitte's Clint Stretch Available for Interview on Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Act of 2008

WASHINGTON D.C., February 26, 2008 — With the price of oil above $100 a barrel and adding additional pressure to the U.S. economy, the U.S. House of Representatives will take up an $18 billion energy package later this week. "The Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008" (H.R. 5351) would extend a variety of energy production and conservation incentives for multiple years — a contrast to the year-by-year extension of other expiring provisions such as the R&D tax credit.
