The Position
This position is responsible for supervising, training and directing the plant operators under his shift.

Responsibilities
The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but are not meant to be all-inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary.
•Coordinates with other shift team leaders regarding day to day or emergency operating conditions
•Communicates the days operations with next shift team leader
•Able to perform all duties of a plant operator
•Coaches and develops employees under his leadership
•Evaluates job performance and counsel employees
•Assign job duties and monitors task completion
•Reviews work performance for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications

•High school diploma or equivalent
•6 years experience as a plant operator
•3 years supervisory experience
•Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop employees.
•Demonstrated and proven leadership skills to accomplish work through others.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of operating characteristics of various plant processing equipment
•Dependability, sound judgment and strong initiative
•Good organization skills

•The job can be physically demanding involving movement of heavy equipment and carrying materials up and down stairs. Candidates should be able to lift a 60-lb load.
