Beijing, China – April 11, 2008 – Dr. Christina Lampe-Önnerud, Founder and CEO of Boston-Power Inc., an emerging provider of portable power solutions, will join a delegation led by Sweden’s Prime Minister, Mr. Fredrik Reinfeldt, Minister of Environment Mr. Andreas Carlgren and Minister of Trade Ewa Björling on a trade mission to China. The delegation, which also includes Swedish industry leaders Michael Treschow, Chairman of Ericsson and Leif Johansson, President of Volvo and Swedish politicians aims to enhance the already good relationships between Sweden and China. The mission will be in China from April 13-16 and will have a strong emphasis on climate change and environmental protection issues.

Widely recognized as a thought-leader on lithium-ion battery technology and an enthusiastic advocate of environmentally sustainability Dr. Lampe-Önnerud has served as keynote speaker on power issues at industry and government initiatives for more than 15 years. She has pioneered the use of lithium-ion and other materials to deliver more environmentally sustainable, powerful, longer lasting, safer and cost-effective batteries for laptops, PDAs, cell phones and other electronic devices.

The Swedish government invited her to make a presentation at the Sino-Swedish Symposium on Sustainable Development in Beijing on April 15. Dr. Lampe-Önnerud will share her experiences with Chinese authorities, businesses and media on ‘Increased Energy Performance’. She will outline how new technology and ways of working can reduce the environmental impact from industry and products. Awarded 15 patents in portable power solutions, with 6 patents pending, Dr. Lampe- Önnerud has been recognized among the 100 Top Young Innovators by Technology Review, MIT's Magazine of Innovation and is well positioned to deliver the most up to date developments on energy and environmental issues.

Dr. Lampe-Önnerud has strong ties with both Sweden and China. She was born and educated in Sweden and although she has headquartered Boston-Power in the United States she retains strong links with her homeland. Dr. Lampe-Önnerud is a regular visitor to Boston-Power’s manufacturing facilities in China, a very important market for the company.
