The Clean Energy Council has formed strategic partnerships on behalf of its membership with the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council (MassBio)and William Gallagher Associates (WGA) to offer a new suite of member services offerings including access to the MassBio Purchasing Consortium, and to insurance and benefits administration and discounts. The Clean Energy Council member services insurance program is designed to allow members cost savings and administrative ease along with access to enhanced insurance coverages from industry-leading suppliers for property & casualty insurance and employee benefits plans.
The insurance packages for Clean Energy Council members intend to address risk management concerns and employee benefits planning issues for all types of clean energy companies and sizes, from start-ups through all stages. These member services insurance and employee benefits programs are also available for the benefit of the portfolio companies of venture capital members of the Clean Energy Council.
 
Preferred providers for the member services insurance program include:
 
Broker and administrator of property, casualty and management liability insurance program and employee benefits.Members will receive a 10% discount off the regular pricing from Benefit Resource. The WGA team has served the risk management needs of fast-growth, dynamic companies for the past 27 years and are experts in helping companies anticipate potential risks while controlling costs. The WGA team currently serves as the insurance broker to over 70 renewable energy and clean technology companies.

 Health Insurance carrier/provider

In addition to traditional preventive acute, chronic and high risk care programs, Harvard Pilgrim offers innovative lifestyle coaching, mindfulness/stress reduction and wellness clubs programs.

Medical Insurance products range from traditional HMO, PPO and POS plans to consumer-directed plans with tax advantage account options including: HRA, HSA and FSAs. Online decision support tools, account transition programs and dedicated account service representatives will be available to help employers make the right decision and ensure a smooth implementation with employees.

WGA also provides various healthcare reform advisory services to all medical clients, including any compliance and regulatory updates based on legislative changes to medical health plans with regards to the health care reform.
 
 - Group Life and Disability
Unum is a Fortune 500 company and leader in the group insurance market. This group life & disability program will provide a rate discount of up to 35% to any Clean Energy Council member with 10+ employees that is a new customer to Unum. For Clean Energy Council members with less than 10 employees, Unum will provide the option of composite rate pricing rather than the more commonly used age-banded pricing. 
 
Benefit Resources - FSA, HRA, HSA and COBRA Administration
Over 200,000 employees at more than 1,600 employers nationwide participate in plans administered by Benefit Resource. Benefit Resource has a one-card solution for FSA, HRA, HSA, and Parking/Mass Transit plan administration, with on-line enrollment and account management for all participants to encourage employee self service and reduce and simplify Human Resource involvement. Clean Energy Council members will have access to favorable pricing available to WGA clients.
 
 - Payroll Services
 PayChoice is one of the largest privately held payroll providers in the country.  PayChoice provides payroll and human resource services such as employee screening, and time and attendance solutions. Clean Energy Council members receive free Direct Deposit and an additional 15% discount off of PayChoice’s standard pricing which is typically 15% lower than other national providers.
